The action is expected to be fast and furious climaxing with an exciting heart-stopping night race in the city streets of Singapore.
The European Soccer Championship 2008 is expected to be screen worldwide especially in Europe and Asia. Many pubs, coffeeshop and restaurants will be crowded with viewers anxious to support their
favourite European team. The perennial favourite England is surprisingly out and fans may not get to see the crowd favourite David Beckham. However expect young and upcoming soccer stars to parade their skills including C. Ronaldo, Benzema and F. Fabregas. The Euro 2008 Championship has a history of winners from non favourite countries. Previous dark horse winners include Denmark and Greece. Expect plenty of action on the pitch and do not be surprise if a non favourite country win the championship.
The 29th Olympics will officially opens on 8 August 2008 in Beijing, China. The hospitality of the host country is expected to be shown to the world in the form of a billion welcome. Many new buildings will be unveil to the world including China National Stadium (Bird''s Nest), China National Aquatics Centre (Water Cube) and China National Centre for the Performing Arts. Billions of viewers worldwide is expected to watch the programme on TV supporting their home country. The host country China is expected to do well in the medal tally with competition from the United States, Russia and Germany. Stars to look out for include Liu Xiang in the hurdles (Track and Field), Yao Ming in the Basketball game and Michael Phelps in swimming.
The first ever F1 Grand Prix Night race will be held in September in the city centre in the island of Singapore. It will be a Monaco styled street race but to be held at night. Expect fast and furious driving as the race driver pit their sleek race car against each other to win the race. Action will centre around Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) and iceman Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari). As this will be the first ever F1 Grand Prix night race, worldwide audience will be captivated at the action on the city street under the stars and moonlight but with bright lights in a vibrant city.
The sports calendar in 2008 is filled with many exciting adrenalin pumping events. Stay glued to the sleek ultra slim LCD or plasma screen TV to watch the action.
