The Pope is a great success in America and most Catholics in America are pleased with how he is running the Catholic Church .. the issue of the Mass and attendance has been raised and apparently a lot of young people no longer attend weekly mass but tend to go once a month. The reason is modernity and I suppose their private or professional commitments.
Whether or not the confession is adhered to is a matter of taste but since its still part of the Catholic Tradition of Practice Catholics in America go to Confession but not as in other norms of life once a week .. they tend to do less frequently.
