Motorcar - Dream Car in the time of Global Warming and Rising Oil Prices
Motorcar has always been a part of the American dream. Many people long to ride a motorcar in the highway with the wind blowing in the hair. Many Hollywood blockbuster action movie feature stunning car chase scene. It is a rites of passage to ride a motorcar upon getting a driving licence and also of going on a date in a motorcar. The common types of motorcar include the popular sedan, cabriolet, Multi-purpose Vehicle (MPV) and Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
Motorcar provides a convenient mode of transport especially in countries with vast countryside such as America and countries in continental Europe. With motorcar one can travel great distance on the highway regardless of weather from town to town. Mnay young people find it easier to get a date if they own a motorcar. Even in a urban city business executives prefer to drive a car as time is of essence to them and they have to attend meeting and appointments in short notices.
Driving a motorcar comes with many challenges. The main problem is one of finding parking space especially in city centre. There are also many incidence of road rage and accident which many cause injury. Having a car which is not of the latest model or brand many also cause inferiority complex. Upmarket cars such as Ferrari, Rolls Royce and Cadillac tends to attract more attention. There are growing concern about global warming arising from the car exhaust with some cities already heavily air-polluted with the heavy car traffic. Escalating oil prices is also an area of concern to motorist.
Motorcar since its invention has been a part of our daily lifes. It is also a part of our dream to own and drive a magnificent car. However, there are growing concern about issues such as global warming and rising oil prices.
