Turkhan SayLan who died on Monday last at the age of 74 from breast cancer ... a sad ending to a glorious life.
Saylan's funeral was in central Istanbul in the district of Nisantasi . and they carried on high the Turkish flag. She had founded the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life in 1989. She was pro secular Turkey and the point is raised that this secular line conflicts with the current Prime Minister of Turkey's Islamic views that is Tayyip Erdogan of AK Ruling Party.
