This underrated blog is a gift to Kuroshitsuji / Black Butler fans, as well as a tastefully-handled blog any tumblr user can enjoy. The lovely 'red lady death' in question is one of the best Grell cosplayers I have ever had the pleasure to meet, and truly appreciates the arts of both acting and costuming. This, coupled with her love of the character, makes for an enjoyable read even for those who are not a fan of the source material (like myself). As with any ask blog, Ask-Irl-Grell depends on questions (or 'asks') submitted to the blog, which are then answered in-character by the blogger. Though I'm not generally a fan of this format in more popular blogs, Ask-Irl-Grell remains light-hearted and well-grounded. Grell's player does not censor herself or the questions sent to her, but the fan interactivity is fairly mature by internet standards, due to what I assume is respect for the blogger as well as her medium. Like many tumblr ask blogs, the blogger remains in-character throughout the blog, while maintaining an out-of-character sideblog that users are also welcome to follow for updates.
The only downside is that the blogger has recently been on hiatus, due to moving to a new apartment, and frequently updates in bursts rather than on a schedule. However, this is par for the course for ask blogs, simply due to the work involved in putting on the costume to answer the incoming questions.
