Aim-Meck is not a book. It is an online
journal.
It depicts the life of one man
working within a major UK plc. A satirical
look at how big corporations operate. And what that means to the individuals that work in them.
Aim-Meck is a purely fictious company, and is not based on any particular major plc. It is based on the 20 year experience the author has of
working in major corporations around the world.
The
journal uses a very original format to describe the people and politics that prevail, showing the truths, the lies, the heartache and the comedy that inevitably exist in UK plc.
In it's infancy at the moment, a few colourful characters have just been introduced. Lion Elfin; the aggressive divisional head. The man with his eye on Lion's chair; Pushi Outi, and since every circus needs a clown; Toby Fair is ready to entertain.
Then there is the story of Binwelldun, the failing business bought by Aim-Meck that becomes a large thorn in its side, as it starts to haemorrhage money. Pushi is sent in to save it or close it. What will he decide? When he can't wait to be elsewhere.
And we get an insight into the debates regarding the Health and Safety policy. What does make a safe working environment. And whose responsibility is it?
The story describes some of the characters in terms of animals with whom they may share similar characteristics. It is a well known tool used at management development courses.
With added pictures to add to the readers experience, some photgraphs, some from other sources, all add to the visual presentation. And add additional humour to journal.
As the weblog is updated several times a week. Now is the time to log on and watch as the story unfolds:
