Website Review   by:arthurchappell

MY myspace page - http://www.myspace.com/56954240 Shvoong encourage blog and Myspace owners to write an abstract of their own websites and blog pages. Here is a summary (rather than a review) of the contents of my own corner of myspace. I set up a myspace account to promote my main website at www.arthurchappell.clara.net/contents.htm only to find that the MS page quickly began to compete in terms of search engine popularity with the parent site. The real joy of Myspace is the friends networking, and I have been able to link to many wonderful people, fellow poets, campaigners against the introduction of national identity cards, people concerned with religious cults, science fiction, horror, and fantasy, and erotica writers communities, history event re-enactors, people and places associated with my home city of Manchester, musicians and artists I love, and many more besides. Many find my pages and ask to link to me too. There are MS users who simply invite everyone online to be an MS friend in an attempt to acquire as many friends as possible. I am more selective, but I already have more than 500 friends without really trying too hard.
My Myspace blog gives me a perfect platform to tell people about my main website and the latest news of events in my own life, as well as giving me a means to plug my many Shvoong abstracts like this one. Generally I leave my MS pages free of musical tunes and fancy graphics – I see it as a basic communication port. Keeping track on there of my growing number of friends is tricky so I have a separate series of friends lists and links on my main website at www.arthurchappell.clara.net/links.myspace-friends.htm The image of me that I use on MS is a cartoon version of me in my Civil War Re-enactment uniform. The vast range of interests covered by my MS page ensures that it gains attention in many different circles and on the whole Myspace serves me extremely well. Arthur Chappell.
