networking site has one of the largest networking sites in the
internet today. A few months back, the site hit the headlines when a family of a 13 year old girl sued them for negligence when the girl was sexually assaulted by someone she met there. I am a member of my space and I would admit that I like the site very much. I have met some famous people in the site and have made friends with them. The site is one of the best advertising tools for those who wish to advertise their wares, be it a book, a poem or a business. While it is true that they cannot police everything people post in their pages, I have to be fair to them and say that they do police it. I have seen some accounts cancelled due to violations of their rules while some are warned to take out sexually explicit materials on their pages. While the
internet sites has a moral and social responsibility to their users, as parents, so do we. The Internet is a very powerful tool and the use of it can be double edge sword depending on how we use it. We just need to be more vigilant with our children. The best we can do is set up security measure on the children's use of the Internet.
