Have you ever lost your
grocery list while shopping? I think I have at least a hundred times. Have you ever seen a torn and battered grocery list lying on the market floor?
This website is devoted to collecting lost and forgotten grocery
lists. It is an absolutely fascinating look into the lives of others. If you’re just a teensy bit of a voyeur I would highly
recommend checking it out. I’ve spent
hours viewing the lists, they’re funny and sometimes a little sad.
The website doesn't just show 1000s of grocery lists, there is hilarious, uproarious
commentary as well. My favourite is the newest edition, top ten grocery lists with number one being ""Oreo B
Interdental Refills" -- now I don't know what an interdental refill is, but I am sure they are more fun to use if they're made out of Oreos. Also, 'bourbin.'" The commentary is written by bill@keaggy.com the creator of the grocery
list website. He is witty, sarcastic and ironic. He also has a lot of time on his hands.
Of course the website has morphed from its naïve beginnings. You are now inundated with advertising and advice. But the heart of the site is still there; a window into the lives of others. Not only what they buy, but how they shop and why. There are thousands of lives and stories behind the lists.
I recommend you put aside a few minutes, even a few hours and have a peek.
