Associated Press on the yahoo.com blog drew my attention
to one of our favourite bands in the 1960s in England,
The
Grateful Dead ... I enjoyed much of this American
dare I say it, Rock that it was incumbent upon one
to pay specific attention to that period of Rock
music ... and
my book of poetry which is published in America is
entitled: ROCK ME , though it doesnt touch down at all
on the Grateful Dead ... the music was spell binding and
when I lived in California in San Jose, outside
the City of San Francisco, I used to listen to the radio
and got caught up in Rock and Roll fever ...
In fact one evening myself with my then husband went to a
restaurant com entertainment studio and Alice Cooper turned up ...
I had heard of the Grateful Dead and listened to their music,
but Alice Cooper was completely new ... he too was very
big during that period in the 1970s ... bizaare experience
it seemed at the time, in that entertainment/restaurant all
those
years ago.
Grateful Dead memorabilia is being sold ... in America ...
sounds like Sir Elton John''s set the ball rolling for the
purposes of fund raising for Charity. Sometime ago
Elton John sold all his clothes in London. I had all
my clothes destroyed in a big fire mostly water damaged and
a thief broke in through the roof and stole the remaining
haute culture suits plus my television set, table and chairs
etc., it took years to recover but with the expert shopping I do and
have done at Charity Shops such as Oxfam I have scored at last
