In an
interview to Economic Times, India, Stephen Dukker of Ncomputing
elaborates about the next generation computing - the
Virtual PC. At present hardly 5% of a PC is utlilised by a user. The rest is a waste. When companies are looking at cost-cutting & optimising the resource management, Dukker promises something of help to them in the form of 30 users sharing a single PC and still working efficiently.
The technology can find immediate users in the educational institutions to start with. Corporates with PCs which are used primarily for e-mailing / simple MS office can easily be moved to this
Virtual PC platform.
