I'm a present subscriber of Wi-Tribe here in the Philippines for about a month now, which I guess is a fair enough time for me to make the judgement of the service their offering and how well it performed for the said amount of time.
What I'm actually looking for in an internet/broadband connection is something that is reliable and consistent enough to handle my internet habit; kind of like "When you need it, it should be present and usable" anytime and probably anywhere in the metro... And it did what is says pretty well, additional plus for this service is that it comes with a very pleasing modem. It takes 30-60 seconds though to make it work but doesn't disappoints you in the connection speed which is the most important thing with me. So far, I never experience any problem at all with regards to connection speed consistency... Unlike the other service I've tried promising a 2MBPS of speed but doesn't even reach 1.5MBPS for even 10 seconds, and guess what I'm talking about the three big company out there which I've tested even in off-peak hours...
Back to the Wi-Tribe; well everything is not perfect, and it did not exempt this thing from that kind of perception... The only cons that I can say about this service is the 6GB capping for P998 plan, though I'm not really very much affected by it cause I used it more often at off-peak hour (1am-7am w/c gives you 75% discount) it's still is a big factor for some people like students and some morning shift employee I think., cause they will not fully enjoy downloading stuffs or watching streaming contents on the net comfortably, thinking that if they reach the 6GB capping limit the speed will go down from 1MBPS to 512KBPS which is still is a good speed for watching videos and down to another 256KBPS in the succeeding bytes used (haven't reach that speed yet)...
But look on the brighter side; instead of thinking the negative things why not think of the benefit it can do for every subscriber; Thats why were enjoying the speed that we have now is because of that rule we must follow thing that we are experiencing., compared to other service offered, I will definitely stick to this one for 23 months more.. jejeje not because we have a contract to finish; but because I'm a happy user of Wi-Tribe!...
