All of us know that every house is assigned a particular address that is unique.. there can be no address matching exactly same address in the world other than the particular house. likewise, each computer on network is assigned a unique address that is known as an IP (Internet Protocol) address. Well, there are different ways for different operating systems. Following are the steps given to check IP address: XP/2000: Start -> Run ->cmd-> ipconfig 98/ME/98 S.E. -> Start -> run->winipcfg . You would get a new window (ipconfiguration) . there you can find your IP address.Classes There are different classes of IP addresses. Here are the following classes of IP address and their ranges;Class RangeA 1.0.0.0 to 126.255.25.255B 128.0.0.0 to 191.255.25.255C 192.0.0.0 to 223.255.255.255D 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255E 240.0.0.0 to 254.255.255.255 Presently, Class A,B, and C are in use.
