       IP (Internet Protocol) Address             We all know that all computers connected on a network either on internet or on a local area connection are assigned an IP address. Dont u? Well, We must also know that this IP address is the unique address. Before we go deep, We must know what is actually an IP address.Whats an IP address?         All of us know that every house is assigned a particular address that is unique.. there can be no address matching exactly same address in the world other than the particular house. likewise, each computer on network is assigned a unique address that is known as an IP  (Internet Protocol) address. No other computer can have the same IP address,otherwise, there would be a conflict between two computers. This IP address is used to identify the computer on a network.Where To check IP address?              Well, there are different ways for different operating systems. Following are the steps given to check IP address:    XP/2000:  Start -> Run ->cmd-> ipconfig      98/ME/98 S.E.  -> Start -> run->winipcfg . You would get a new window (ipconfiguration) . there you can find your IP address.Classes                            There are different classes of IP addresses. Here are the following classes of  IP address and their ranges;Class                                       RangeA                                           1.0.0.0 to 126.255.25.255B                                           128.0.0.0 to 191.255.25.255C                                           192.0.0.0 to 223.255.255.255D                                           224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255E              240.0.0.0 to 254.255.255.255        Presently, Class A,B, and C are in use.
