Last night I was ready to take flight to Xinyang Normal University and all my stuff
was packed tightly ensuring that my shampoo bottle was inside a plastic
bag and that the money bag was tight in terms of security as recently it has
been leaking and I kept writing myself notes to "fix it" "buy a new secure purse"
and finally I took my own advice and did precisely that. But the bottom has
fallen out of my well again and the Agent now has some doubts about the
whole venture as he cannot impliment the contract in my favour, only in his
own and even after my long and detailed explanation about how to sort out
this problem and at the same time clearing London Airport Security it looks
like the whole "adventure" is either "on hold" or is "cancelled".
So its back to writing again and just as well I kept my hand in at my day
job in Computers. Computers have long since been in the background of
my career and now have ploughed their way forward to the foreground again.
I have been /in computers/ since 1968, and we installed a computer in our
home in the 1980s in Winchester and then during my work and contracts
Overseas ... everyday I got down to the Computers in the Language
Schools and was bent over the machine tidying up the page for our
5 to 11 students who were in the first flush of pleasure in getting permission
to use the school''s computers.
I engaged an Engineer locally, and together we managed to climb out of
the doldrums in relation to DVDs and got the DVD Writer to work hard
and now we have an excellent playing system for my family when they
drop in ... the Personal Computer performed accordingly and its
achievements are certainly in the A category together with its
contributors who are as follows:
My Engineer:
Myself
My Son
Computers are a friend and companion these days and have taken over from the
dog and cat in modern society ... you dont have to put them out at night,
or take them for walks up and down the road ... you just switch them "on" or "off"
and you are free to leave! Excellent stuff ... keep on reading the abstracts. on line on my personal computer ... in computing today .....
