Equipments required to build LAN depends on the medium type, be using cable or radiowave (nirkabel).
If using cable, you requires chain card ( ethernet card) the numbers is accomodated number of PC, cable UTP ( unshielded twisted pair),
connector RJ-45,switch.
If using radiowave, you requires a wireless access point and peripheral nirkabel (chain card or dongle USB) the numbers is adapted for number of PC.
To build LAN applies cable, you must install chain card or LAN adapter to every peripheral which will be
interfaced to chain. Then is attached cable UTP to connector RJ45. Connector which one interfaced to chain card, while other connector interfaced to switch.
Way of setting the IP address configuraton to as follows :
Click Start*Control panel.
Right click Local area Connection and select Properties
Menu emerging in sheet fed General, click 2x Internet Protocol ( TCP/IP).
Click Obtain an IP address automatically. If you will use dynamic IP address. Then clicked OK.
If you will use address IP remain, enters address IP 192.168.0.1 ( for first computer) at line IP address and enters number 255.255.255.0 at part of subnet mask. For second computer, enters address 192.168.0.2. While for other computer enterred 192.168.0.3, 192.168.0.4 and so on alternately. But the subnet is same that is 255.255.255.0 for all computer. Then clicked OK and OK again.
