The product provides real time GPS update to users. It comes with complete maps of 620 Indian cities, 576,000 towns and villages; 30,000 tourist locations, and 2 million unique destinations,

The Road Pilot comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and boasts of turn-by-turn voice assisted GPS navigation. It has also been provided with a snooze option to save power. This is apart from the sleep option it has using which the entire gadget can be put to sleep and revived with the touch of a button. The Road Pilot does not require GPRS or a packet data connection in order to connect and for the same reason, it is an "always on" service. The only requirement is that you should be at a location that can directly connect to satellites. This, for example, will not work well indoors. But then, you wont need a navigation system indoors!
