sometimes known as ... risk
taking
in
poetry though I can hear the random words
of the reader on the phone when he is in distress because he is not a native
speaker of English to discuss the finer points of English poetry in conversation in a
fluent and well behaved manner. I used to drop in a few ..... words in French and
the odd "Hello" to jig up the news a bit ... but the endless rejection leads one
off the beaten track of conventional replies like that so thus the rushing back to it all again.
Now that permissions are granted in Europe and the EU to write and read one''s own work - its good to see that the risk
taking in poetry has paid up and we need no longer hide in the closet as people who have abandoned words to the silence of the night.
When someone does utter one of those words ... you must respond instantly,
face the firing squad metaphorically of course and put in your suitable word .... never fear the heat of the sun ... and I dont fear the winter''s chilly winds either .... poetic utterings from Istanbul on the phone on Thursday afternoon ... great stuff ...
