A lot of fuss has been made about Chelsea Clinton not taking the question at a recent press conference and I read from Associated Press that this affected Chelsea Clinton's credibility ...
But there is a link in that the "young people" are upfront and then when things to astray its all in all back to me to sort it out as best I can ....
The BBC London Interviewer raised the accent issue .. a hot potato if ever there was one ... since each country embodies the concept within the culture and not since GB Shaw and my taught programmes has there been such a fuss about "accent".
The BBC Interviewer online here in the UK .. referrred to Tarkan The Turkish Prince of Pop as having an "American accent" ... so why dig deep down into prejudice that creates disharmony and I note the answer was from Tarkan "And I lived in New York!" ........ Is it not possible in this day and age to let the comment on Tarkan's accent become erased as surely the statement Tarkan made was totally comprehensive in as much as "I lived in New York" can be taken to mean ... I speak English and the notion of creating a third rate class re your accent being better or worse than mine surely could be solved without the hassle currently produced by the BBC Woman from London Radio who chooses to raise old prejudices and refuses to let in the fresh air of sanity into such interviews .... still ... its all in a day's work and we shall work it out .. again, and again .. great stuff! The implication seems to be that a British Accent is the "real thing!" I know where I come from the British Accent wears a disguise! ........ Keep on listening and viewing ....... Manners make the world go round!
