Its certainly a challenge for the English Expert to get one's feet under the desk of the computer and get down to brass tacks .. for example, I read with interest a blog from Associated Press that 3,500 U.S. Troops are to leave Iraq within a few weeks.
The U.S. put it over 30,000 Troops due to violence sometime ago. And recently a brothel
in Iraq has been attacked and 3 prostitutes are dead and some are wounded.
The names that strike the writer as familiar are as follows .. place names ..
Takrit, Muzul and then the name of the Prime Minister is N. al-Malika ... rings a bell!
Al Qaida ... often quoted by President George Bush as the "enemy" are much in focus in this report from AP together with reference to Shite Muslims ... once I knew a guy who thought that we the English experts were offending him by referring to Him as a Shite Muslim .. as the word has other meanings and nuances of meaning plus associations. I assured him that nothing was further from my mind.
