The smoking ban is in force and the BBC have broadcast that they want i.e.. the UK State to remove the display .. showing
or advertising Smoking and its pleasures to be removed .. as this sort of ban has been successful in Europe. And the target group is children who are apparently smoking.
The credit crunch, credit card debt the smoking ban and now the new Mayor of London Boris Johnston has introduced an alcohol ban .. and before its introduced some group of people are having a /champagne/party on the tube! Its to stop binge drinking in London Pubs. I wonder if we introduced "stop everything" and put it off to tomorrow would that be an effective control of the time issues . I am sure we all have had enough to this puritan streak ... wont people always do what they want rather than what the State Imposes. Is it not better to "woo" young people rather than "imprison" with the State Rules .. more carrot and less stick is the conclusion I reached years ago after 20 years teaching full time in England/ great work keep at it ..
