Returned from town and heard the interview with Dustin Hoffman a great American Actor with the BBC .. in the radio interview
Dustin Hoffman discussed his great films .... such as
All the Presidents Men, Tootsie and The Graduate made in the 1960s .. the theme tune was a great hit here in the UK .. Title/Mrs Robinson .. sung by Simon and Garfunkle.
Dustin Hoffman talked about his style of acting and he has a very amusing anecdote about playing a "tomato" which used to be known as improvision .. he maintained that he can and has played The Tomato and enjoys doing it. . its another acting technique for improvisation and getting out of the actor the special dimensions of performance required for playing a character in a movie or play.
During the 1980s my Party and I went to The Royal National Theatre to see a play and Dustin Hoffman was sitting in the seat next to me ... I took it in my stride and didnt fall out of my seat but my partner nudged me and said "that's Dustin Hoffman next to you!" What do you say to that! Nothing .. nothing until now .. how devine and thrilling to be sitting in the National Theatre next to Dustin Hoffman .... wow ... 20 years later .. keep on listening and tuning into BBC Radio 2 Interview - great stuff!
