Supposing one was told that it was a man's job to empty the bins and a woman's job to wash the dishes .. that would have
been the case say over 40 years ago as it would have preceded the modern dishwashers and washing machines and disposable society of today's young generation.
But if the Men go to War ... out to the
Frontline .. then according to the BBC Radio 3 Arts Programme it is now the Women who go out to the frontline as well and stand "
shoulder to shoulder" and fight along with their male colleagues.
However, the issue is not the Military both Men and Women but is concerned with Women Artists on the Frontline .. there are now exhibitions of the artwork produced by women artists and the clarification is made that the difference is the sex of the artist on the frontline as afteall we have had the War Poets of World War l for over a century ... the BBC stressed it was Women Artists on the Front Line in
Iraq .. and interviewed the Woman Artist On the Front Line about her work!
It was a well collected view by the BBC Radio 3 on the great contribution Woman Artist(s) On the Front Line have made to telling the story from the Woman Artists on The Front Line's point of view ... and referring specifically to Iraq. Great listening on BBC Radio 3 on Monday ... Night Waves .. nice work! I was something of a ladypoet on the FrontLine but nobody took any notice of me until recently ............ thats another story ...
