www.writingcash.com is an excellent
website which offers potential writers all over the world several writing opportunities
to exhibit their talents and make money. It is one of the few websites that have not been collecting money from writers for participating in writing competitions and events. It only asks for a detailed bio-data from the participating writers.
The creative writing
contests, conducted by this website, are open for all age groups of people from all parts of the world. Their main aim seems to be encouraging talented writers and recognizing their skills and not collecting money from the contestants in the name of participating fee.
The organizers of this website proudly promise that they will certainly award the cash prizes they advertise. This is in fact a great relief when many writing contests lack legitimacy or substance these days. Some contests, conducted with much fanfare, are outright fake while others don't award the prizes at all they advertise.
This website is currently conducting a good writing contest on the topic “Letters to God “ and has offered three cash prizes to the first three winners in order. The details of the prizes are : $ 1st Prize = $150.00 , 2nd Prize = $50.00 and 3rd Prize = $25.00. This is the contest number 2 for the year 2005 and last date for submission of
entries is October 31, 2005. There is no entry fee.
We generally find that many writing contests advertise a large cash prize, but then if you read the fine print you will realize that they will only award a certain percentage of the total money received. But this website promises that it will award the total amount of the prizes regardless of the number of entries received. Even if it only received three entries, those three entries would win the full amount of the cash prizes. What a great relief to the writers!
The organizers of this website own and maintain several websites and spend thousands of dollars each week promoting them. Compared to that, the prize money is very small amount, they claim.
