Oddly enough years back when working in Istanbul on my way home to my apartment I walked around the block and there on
my left in Bakirkoy district of Istanbul was a Nokia Mobile shop selling discount phones ... and the face behind the counter was familiar ... so I was intrigued to receive Reuters blog from Turkish digest about the new loan available on Turkcell (the Turkish mobile phone system) of $285 from the Swedish Credit Agricole Bank and Calyon Nordea Bank .. guaranteed by Swedish Credit Guarantee Board. Sounds like the perfect solution. Turkcell then is the biggest mobile company and the reason for the loan is to expand the mobile phone business .. do you know my writing partner's message board commented that He had gone to Orlando Florida so I could phone his private mobile in the USA if it was an emergency ... however never cry Wolf! until you have to, and I did call HIM in Istanbul last year during my holidays .. in Sirkeci Istanbul - whew! that was close! He was /in/and I was busy!
Turkcell has 37 milion customers and is an Istanbul based Company (as indeed I was an Istanbul based poet some years ago!.) 56% of the market rose by 1.75$ to 8.70 ... which is good news! Hard work! Keep connecting by private mobile phone with Istanbul ...and you never lose touch!
