Mystery Shop

Website Review by: alexiwing

“Mysteryshops” is a place to go if you ever wanted to try your hand at mystery shopping. I am a member and it is free to
join. (Note there is no referral rewards so I do not get any money if you click on the link at the bottom).
The pros are that it is very straight forward and convenient. Everything is laid out in an easy to read format. Picking jobs, reading what they are about, your duties and it shows exactly where they are located and how much you would get paid. They also have a really good FAQ section that answered any questions that I had. Even getting paid is simple, you give them the email address that is your pay pal email and it goes directly in. You can also choose for them to send you a check as well.
The only con about the site is that in the beginning it is a bit time consuming. The signing up process and trainings can tend to be a bit long but well worth it I think. This is only done to make sure that the client, whom you will be shopping for, is fully satisfied with your knowledge of their store and your task. For example: It took me 15 minutes to take the training course for Dunkin Donuts, but then I am able to shop at all the Dunkin Donuts stores listed (which are a lot). The only time I have to take the training again is when I do a secret shop for another store like Radio Shack.
Depending on certain factors is what determines how much you will get paid. On average when you start out they give you $5 per each report you turn in, $7 if it is nearing the end of the month and they need the report more urgently. Every satisfactory report you turn in raises you up in points (you start out at 3 and 5 is the highest). When you go up in points more shops are available for you and for more money. Even the ones you did for $5 go up.
It is a lot of work in the beginning, but then again it is real work and everything legit is difficult when you start out. The beauty of this site is that anyone can do it; all that is needed is a little time. I would say it is an hour in total for just signing up and then 15 minutes per training. Oh and most important there is no fee to join!
