Those looking for
ringtones can directly head for the Audios section. It is divided into five sections called Funny Ringtones, Funny Sounds, Audio Clips, Funny Remixes, and Funny Song Parodies. Don’t be taken in by the prefix funny. I can assure that you will find many amazing ringtones, musical and otherwise, apart from a few that you may consider funny.
Once in the Funny Ringtones sections, you find almost two dozen categories with most holding a couple of hundred tones. Funny Ringtones itself is a category. This bears out my earlier remark about not being taken in by the prefix funny. The categories also include musical, alien, techno, and mosquito. I had read somewhere that mosquito ringtones are used by school students as grownup teachers find them hard to hear. You may like to test if this applies to you too.
As you browse through the categories you encounter all kinds of sounds, musical and otherwise and you feel spoilt for a choice. It is good that at each level of drilldown the site provides a shortlist of Top
Downloads. You can benefit from users’ collective choices. Some categories include a few tones that are marked 18+. These are erotic sounds and subject to what the site calls a family filter. The filter insists on a confirmation that you are past 18 years of age.
As you choose a tone, a small player appears on your PC’s screen that allows you to listen to the tone before you decide on downloading. Contributor’s name, date of contribution, total downloads, rating by downloaders, and file size etc. are all displayed. Naturally you are also allowed to rate the tone and add your comments, if any.
It is indeed an awesome collection, but you need not be a passive consumer. The site provides on the opening page of the Funny Ringtones subsection, helpful tips for creating your own funny ringtones together with names of software that can be used for the purpose. You are encouraged to upload your creations.
