Illegal
downloads in the UK are planned to be banned, according to a recent legislative proposal discussed last week by the
British Parliament. Those who download movies, music or any copyright content illegally will be cut off from internet, as internet service providers (ISPs) will be forced to take action against increasing piracy in the UK. Suspected users will be warned by two emails from their ISPs before they will be banned ultimately. It is still under discussion, whether banned users personal information should be shared between ISPs to make the abused unable to change his service provider. The estimated number of abusers in the UK is above 5 million, which is shown in billions of pounds companies loose every year. Similar actions in the US and in France urge British internet companies to deal with piracy and protect the creative industry in the UK.
