The war is finally on between the two biggest gaming consoles.
I could not wait to buy my XBOX-360 console which (thank
god )finally got released in India, I think you people must have gone through the same impatience and excitement to buy xbox 360 or PS3 when it got released in your respective countries.
Both the consoles sold heavily(few million consoles) within the first two weeks of its release breaking records set by previous gaming consoles.
Now let us compare the two consoles-
1) Storage space- The Xbox-360 comes in two versions 20 Gb or 120Gb while PS3 comes in 20,40,60or 80 Gb hard disk space
2) Price- Price is an other important factor which has to be kept in mind ,Xbox-360 costs less than PS3. This is one place where the Xbox-360 wins hands down over PS3.
3) Controllers-Maximum of 4 controllers can be used in Xbox-360 while up to 7 controllers can be used in PS3. Here PS3 scores over the Xbox-360.
4) Games- the number of games released on Xbox-360 are much more than that released on PS3 .The games on Xbox-360 have been more impressive than that of PS3 . This can be seen from the fact that halo(the most popular game on Xbox-360) has sold 8.1 million copies compared to motorstorm(PS3) 3 million copies.
Both have their own advantages and disadvantages as it can be seen from the figures mentioned above.
But again as I said the deciding factor is the price of the console for the consumer hence asXbox-360(19 million consoles sold) is cheaper it sells more than PS3(12.8 million consoles sold).
It is difficult to rate the two as I may be slightly partial to Xbox-360(as I own one).
I will give Xbox-360 7 on 10
And PS3 6 on 10 (as I feel it does not have enough variety of
Games and due to its higher price)
