Today, the goal of the games is to pass our time and have fun. For example, the game Counter Strike, a first person shooter game, developed by the company Valve in 1999 with Half-Life mod that was created in 1998. In the game the players get into two groups: terrorists and counter terrorists. The goal of the groups is to battle in diffirent situations. Unlike the games today, the games in the past was just the start of the graphics and the advanced programs studies.
For example, the game Pacman, an arcade game that was developed by the company Namco in Japan in 22 May 1980.
Pacman is a maze game. The player need to move the pacman (a little yellow circle with mouth) through the maze, and eat the pills and bonuses. You complete the level when you eat all of the pills. Also, four monsters are moving around the maze to catch the pacman. Every level starts with three monsters in a special area and one above it. The pacman starts every level at the bottom of the maze. The monsters release from the area as the time passes.
Another example to a game is mario. He is a popular video game character that developed the japaneas nintendo company. The character of mario, not including it''s participating in the most popular game series, it is the amulet of the company. Until now the character showed up only in nintendo consules, except some exceptions. You can see that allthough it is an old game and with low graphics comparing to the games today it was the most popular game ever. You can see that as the game gets newer his goal gets more difficult to get, the method is different and the graphics is better. All of these goals are to get people''s attention and make them start play the game.
