Website Review   by:pmt27

After searching for a review of ANIMA: Ark of Sinners from Nintendo's WiiWare game section, I came across this interesting website that I'd never seen before. Nintendo Life is a website dedicated to giving out reviews of Nintendo games whether they're for the Wii console, Nintendo DS/3DS, or from one of the online shops like WiiWare and eShop. I didn't need to stay on the page pertaining to the game review I wanted for very long--the review was initially skipped as I was looking for a rating (out of 10). The game ended up being rated 4/10, and for me that's not really worth buying.

But something else about the web page caught my interest. I noticed that many of the reviews for the article supported the author. It seems NintendoLife.com had a very reputed reviewer/writer, so I decided to use this website to search for other games from WiiWare. I used the search feature for games that looked like they had some RPG element to them, and on most of the searches I became disappointed. The ratings for these games were low. I did find one that scored pretty high, but unfortunately I'm not too interested in buying the game anyways. I was basically wasting time...

As for the site itself, I find I favor website with neutral/dark colors more than happy, colorful ones especially when I'm looking for a serious review for a game. The light blue doesn't detract from this one though. The website is easy to navigate, reviews searched for are usually at the top of the returned list, and I'll definitely use this site for future reference. I especially like the fact that games can be sorted by genre like more gaming websites (or those dealing with games).
Overall, this is a good website to check out if you ever wonder if the content you wish to download for Nintendo is worth buying, but don't limit yourself to just this one. Sometimes, it's best to buy a game first before you decide it's a dud.
