About 200 flyers on the subject of the Open University and its offers are passed to me on an average of 10 times a week so I suddenly
decided to dig back into the educational past and get out a few ideas from my personal filing system on what I had done to deserve all this.
I suppose it started with a Geography class I belonged to at College during school days and I happened to draw a wonderful map of India and my Geography
teacher was alive with
joy at such artistry in one so young .. I was 12 years old. I thought nothing of it and then when my
results came in that year my Geography teacher had awarded me an overall /lst/in his specialism of Geography. I was ablaze with joy at the results and was convinced I was called to greatness. Not so, my Geography teacher gave the much coveted place to a boy to go onto Higher Education at that point in time and my results were better than his so I learned to live with selection deselection and so on from an early age.
Geography was raised again in America when I lived there and the Open University was mailed to me from England and I enrolled in a Geography Course .. upon return I decided not to bother with it as I didnt want the whole episode repeated .. it wasnt but I did take away something positive .. I am good with Maps! Excellent work ..
