government in the main. But it is a gateway to all Government of
India Information over the web.

President of India, Prime Minister of India and other ministers and top notch
officials through this
web site. It also provides an easy way to
reach to the remotest locations in the country wherever e-governance has made its headway.
The beauty of the web site is that it provides all india related information and links at one place. Name one and you are there. Have a glimpse yourself:-

The national flag, song, languages, bird, flower, animal, emblem?-Yes Sir.
The states of India?-Yes, of course

You may be thinking, how will I reach by railway there. Get airlines ticket buddy, then and there, all online.
And you can book hotels, get your vehicles registered online, track your shipments, track your trains, get your examination results, enquire about places of interest for tourists and so on and so forth.
You can also use this site to reach to any minister or his secreatry or other senior officials of the ministry or department. But one word of caution- Never believe that what you wrote to any senior official of any ministry of Govt. of India has actually been read by them. In India, government officials are called Babus and the bureaucracy is called Babudom in sarcastic tone to reflect their apathetic attitude towards millions of suffering milieu and looking at every ways to make millions!!! Living upto their now infamous reputation,
they never read any e-mail. But try sending a fax or Registered Letter and rest assured that your mail
shall not only be read but shall also be acted upon. That's e-governance- true Hindustani (Indian) style.
Also, if you thought that the web site shall be in any Indian language, and there are plenty like the population or the size of the country, you shall be dissappointed. It is in english only.
