Health is wealth! We are listening and reading this phrase from our elders and teachers from time immemorial. It will be hard to find a person who would not have come across this phrase. Today people are dying with a bad life style. People want to enjoy life without taking care of its outcome. This poor life style has put burden on the heart of the people with a result they die prematurely.

You must have heard the tips and tricks to remain healthy before. From time to time doctors also advice us that if you want your heart to be healthy for the rest of your life get plenty of exercise, follow a good diet and keep your heart clean and drug free. But who cares? Have you tried the above methods seriously in your day today life.
Every one knows that exercise in the morning can do wonders with your Health apart from keeping your heart fit and healthy. But did you do it? Try it and you know the change in your lifestyle. Make sure that you exercise intelligently and cautiously. Exercise should improve your health, not risk it. Exercise will only become a habit if it's fun! Pick something you will enjoy doing sport like basketball or soccer. You don't have to be a super athlete. Anyone can exercise. Social activities like dancing and mall-walking are also good. Anyone starting an exercise should start slowly. Begin with a “warm-up” session. Your warm up should last about three to five minutes. If you are tired immediately stop. Dress comfortably during exercise. If you start exercising regularly you will feel the change in your life style. You should start breathing more rapidly and deeply. End your exercise with a “cool down” session. Take rest for some time. Take the following steps:
Try using stairs instead of an elevator.
Take a walk after lunch instead of napping.
Park you car at the far end of the car parking, so that you can walk for a while.
If you ride on a bus get off a stop before your destination and walk.
If you have a family, take a stroll after dinner. Make it a quality time.
For a healthy heart you should also have a healthy diet. All of the food you eat affects the health of your heart. Learn which foods are heart smart and try to include them as a regular part of your diet.
Try fish and Poultry(without skin), fruits and vegetables (except coconut and avocado), skim milk or low fat dairy products, whole grain products, Try broiling, boiling roasting instead of frying, keep a food diary, don’t skip meals, eat a balanced diet. Eat 5 or more servings of fruits or vegetables per day. Eat 6 or more servings of breads, cereals or grains per day. Sodium intake in your diet should not be more than 3000 milligrams per day.
Total fat intake should be less than 30 percent of total calories daily.
People who don't follow this prescription often develop some form of heart disease. Be heart smart and have a healthy heart.
