If you want a heart pumping, adrenaline experience you can’t go past the all-new Skywalk, right on the edge of Sydney Tower.
This walk is not for the faint hearted! Even people who have accomplished the Harbour Bridge climb have been challenged by the Skywalk. At 260 metres above street level, Sydney Tower is twice the height of the Harbour Bridge.
Participants of the Skywalk put on special jumpsuits provided by the organisers and wear harnesses. Expert Skywalk leaders accompany the groups on the walk, providing commentary and taking individual photographs as a souvenir of the experience.
The walk takes approximately ninety minutes and at the top it’s like being in the clouds. Included is a visit to the observation of Sydney Tower where 360-degree views of Sydney Harbour are magnificent. If looking down makes you a little nauseous, keep your eyes up and just focus on the beauty and splendour around you.
Although there’s no age limit to do the walk, it is recommended participants are physically fit and in good health, although there is provision for the old and those with special needs. Children under 10 are not permitted on the walk. The walk up is strenuous and not for the faint hearted. The up side is you ride an elevator to the bottom again; you don’t have to walk back down.
