Featuring articles on the latest film, television and DVD releases
www.film.com is one of those rare websites that caters for every kind of film viewer and covers every aspect of film. The interactive site boasts slick color photography courtesy of Getty Images, Warner Bros and New Line cinema as well as trailers and previews of upcoming films and films already on circuit. The site keeps searchers informed about current film
affairs in a
section titled "Today on Film.com" which may include discursive articles about the screenwriters strike, Oscar buzz and new technologies in the film industry. Interviews and commentaries from stars lend a personal and up-to-the-minute touch to the site and the “Latest Article” section deals respectfully with celebrity mishaps and achievements. www.film.com is not a
gossip rag like say Perez.Hilton.com instead there is a sense that celebrities themselves would not hesitate to book their movie tickets and peruse the Top 5 at the Box Office” which are two other features on the site. The site also gives due respect to new series’ on television and Lost, Prison Break and DH fans can also be informed on all aspects of production, gossip and star
chatter from their favorite TV shows. The only criticism for the site is an obvious neglect of indie and foreign film though this is to be expected as the site is purely
commercial and American punting things like the Superbowl and the like. However, if commercial film, star chatter and current affairs is the game www.film.
com is certainly the name to remember.
