A To-Do list on the Internet
All ye multi-tasking and collaborating creatures, cheer up! Now you can create your multiple to-do lists online and share them with your collaborators (who can add to a list or check-off an item as completed) and supervisors (merely interested in knowing what are you doing and what is already done.) So bid good-bye to the private and local to-do lists in the organizer on your internet-enabled phone or PDA.
This free service is available at http://tadalist.com/ and allows you to do the following:
- Create multiple lists with each containing multiple tasks. No finish or start dates can be mentioned against task. As the FAQ section says it is an ultra-simple service.
- Each task has a checkbox against it which can be checked / unchecked. Checking means completion of the task. Completed tasks are displayed in smaller fonts outside and below the active list. It is possible to uncheck a task to reactivate it.
- You may share the list with other persons by entering their email address, and they get access with full rights. They can perform edits, create new lists, and check / uncheck tasks.
- It is also possible to create a view-only page. Anybody who knows the URL can view the lists. This also lays your lists open to indexation by search engines and makes them searchable by public at large.
The site has many affiliate sites providing net-based organizer like functions. Some of the services are free and others paid.
