In one village, there lived an old mother and her only son. This son often did bad things and this made his mother sad. However, despite
her child''s behaviour, this mother always prayed, so that God helped her to bring her child round. One day, this child stole something and was captured. He was brought to the King and the King decided to execute him. He would be
executed when the bell sounded at six o''clock in the morning. The mother, sadly, went to the King to ask for her son to be freed. But, the King disagreed. On the day of the
execution, the villagers came to the location of the execution. At six o''clock sharp, the rope was pulled. The executioner was ready to execute the child once he heard the sound of the bell and the child already surrendered. Five minutes passed, but, no sound of bell was heard. All people were bewildered. Suddenly, there was blood flowing down the rope. After investigated, it was discovered that the mother, so that her son was not executed, had climbed the bell beforehand and tied herself at the bell, so that the bell would not sound. Her head was injured and bleeding. Everyone was sad. The child felt remorseful for always troubling his mother.
