Listening and Speaking Strategies I would like to introduce another website about how to come up with
Listening and
speaking strategies. This website is http://school.discoveryeducation.com. This assignment talks about the importance of being a good
listener and a good speaker. A method of testing your
listening skills can be to play a game of telephone this will show how good of a listener you are. The game of telephone is played by a group of people in a circle, one person starts by telling the person to their right a sentence in their ear so that no one else can hear it. That person will turn and tell the person next to them what they heard until the sentence goes around the whole circle. The last person will then say out loud the sentence that they heard. This game show how good of a listener you are. Have you ever been a situation where you have to listen very carefully? For example following the instructions on how to take medications given by the doctor, or when you need to find direction to a place; it’s a time when we need to listen and pay attention. Listening and speaking can be a situation of life or death. An example of that could be for instance while driving in a car. If you are driving and you ask your passenger if there is a car coming and they tell you no, but there really is, and you continue to drive you can possibly get into a car accident. A good way to get involved with your classmates can be to play a game where you get to know each other and practice speaking and listening to one another. For this game you would need to go around the classroom and ask a classmate a Have you ever….question, something like have you ever been to Texas or have you ever played a guitar? This exercise would be great to practice your speaking and listening skills. I invited to my website at www.shvoong.com/writers/anifsaveuc
