Gumtree is a unique site as there are nofees invilved to sell anything... unless you want your item to get featured, but basically the service is FREE!
It operates like a regular classified where you can find all sort of bric-a-brack, new items and old items for sale from people that dont usually sell online. Usually because they cant be bothered paying or administering sales on ebay. The interfaces are a little primative and need alot of work but what do you expect for FREE? It serves its duty!
So you can find anything here or sell anything: Cars, computers, furniture as well as find local Jobs and services. Great for finding mechanics and plumbers and electricians!!!
There is however a more seedy side to the site and this is the
personals section!!!

But before you go off and start rooting through the site there is one thing you should know also. Its is a stinking swamp of crime and fraud. Mostly of the nigerian tipe where they try to get money out from you . So be street wise and ensure that you do not ever give our your personal details online. Allways meet in public place and bring a friend.
I have bought and sold here and if used wisely it can be great, but I have also had several attempts to rip me off!!!
