Geoportal is an Polish Internet based portal harmonious with regulations of EC Directive INSPIRE allowing its users to access
demanded geospatial information.
This project is an
infrastructure of nodes of National Spatial Data Infrastructure, cooperating together and providing services such as searching, giving access and analysing data.
One of the crucial requirements of the
developed solution is ability for cooperation of nodes regardless of the applied
technical solutions (system, hardware or software platform used) compliance by adopting, at the level of implementation of infrastructure nodes,
with recognized international standards (ISO standards and OGC recommendations), and developed national standards.
GEOPORTAL.GOV.PL provides studies and geospatial data, including the cadastral data, studies of aerial and satellite ortophotomaps,
sozological maps prepared in 1: 50 000 scale, hydrographical maps prepared in 1:50 000 scale, raster topographical maps prepared in scales: 1: 10 000; 1:25 000; 1:50 000; 1:100 000,
data on borders of the state territorial division units and data of the state register of geographical names.
