I think we all noticed that after update have been made on google, the
www sharks started going down and when I say
sharks I mean sites that
were on top of all sites in google's
listing, as we can see here google
started looking for content rather than "counting links", and that's
what I as a webmaster have been waiting for.
It's very clear that web directories were always on top in the listing
but not anymore folks, I think everybody should express what his site
is all about in a nice SEO text and put it on his pages, also I think
you should stop looking for link exchange programs , they won't do you
any good.
Now, I think all webmasters should think more about inline links and
backward links, I mean "no link databases software" , and I think I
can't mention any of those here. Now lets get organised, I'll put this
in simple steps for you :
1- Good and abstract SEO text on everypage.
2- Alot of backward links from other "RELATED" sites.
3- Work hard and update your site at least once a week
4- If you can get a backward link from a seven-ranking site, that will
give you good listing in google (this step is for sites lower than six
in google's ranking).
5- Put less banners on your pages, they are ANNOYING.
also, I have some usefull tips for you ; first, don't use tables for
layout (they are not made for that). second, DIVs are not the best
alternatives but they are okay. third, CSS Rocks!!.
