school days when we were kids. Our grannies or nannies, Mom or Papa used to entertain us with
stories. God only knows whether they were true or constructed to keep us happy. When we reach adulthood, we reverse that role. We start telling sagas of our own exploits on profession or personal front. However we all make stories.

government organisation spreads joys of reading by publishing, organising writing workshops.
Katha’s
website claims it as a profit for all organisation that uses story and story telling as change agents. It is one of India’s learning edge organisations. It has school on wheels programme, community development. Katha is also one of the India’s top publishing houses. The main aim of Katha is to spread the joy of reading, knowing and living amongst adults and children.
Katha runs 11 community schools, 2 school on wheel, and 1 book on wheel. It works in the midst of 54 communities. It works in partnership of Delhi government and European union.
Katha believes that story can make a difference. It emphasises that being natural storytellers, we never lose interest in stories. This website also informs, that katha organises story writing contests and workshops from time to time. This organisation has been awarded many times. Many prominent writers feel pleasure being associated with it
