those very simple web applications that we wonder why wasn’t it build much before. Going by the functionality of the website, it appears quite straight-forward and easy: to twitter (announce) what you are doing currently.
Twitter’s website homepage mentions “Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?” It means you can just Twitter (announce) your current fixation to anyone and everyone you want. No matter if you are having a quick bite or are busy in your annual general meeting, just Twitter yourself and people get aware of it.
Twitter’s strength lies in the fact that your status can get relayed on various medias like Phone, Instant Messenger Service, Blog, etc. More so, by providing access to their API’s Twitter has gathered a huge fan following who are busy creating applications for Twitter. There are even desktop applications for various OS Platforms that you can download and use as a Twitter client.

networking. Going by the current online social networking happenings, it seems everyone is jumping on the bandwagon by creating hundreds of social networking and web 2.0 applications and certainly Twitter scores high points for being a late entrant but certainly one with quite a bit of buzz around.
