My Advanced ESL Oral Communication Class
students are presenting websites they have found to be particularly useful, helpful,
or inspiring for the whole class so I decided to begin it with an example of this site. It gives clear lesson plans and rubrics to assess student understanding of the presented material. The specific lesson plan I linked to below gives rules and tips about public speaking and a way for the
listening students to rate performance based on the rules given. For example, does the speaker''s body language in sinc with the message or does it distract from what''s being said. Does the speaker show confidence or hesitation? Is the speech well organized and easy to follow or is it confusing and chaotic? These are all important elements in giving a speech.
