My first encounter with Opera Mini was a year ago. On a Nokia 6070. It was
not working. So I despised it. Days ago, on a Sony Ericsson k800i, Opera Mini had not only been revamped, it was, and is, a must have for any serious person who values a good phone browser. If there is another internet application that can face off with Opera Mini, kindly enlighten me on it.
Opera Mini loads very fast. And its start page is simply laid out, pretty and efficient. There is the RSS feeds, the Opera Community, facebook, BBC, CNN, Live scores( for the sports people) and free downloads( which disappoints) and about two slots to customize. There is a bookmark segment preloaded with myspace, mocospace, The Guardian et cetera. The search segment has google, Amazon, Wikipedia, eBay, dictionary.com, IMDb and slots to customize just as the bookmarks segment too. At the top of the start page is the address bar. There's History and Saved pages segments too, at the bottom of start page. This browser is like holding a computer in your hand. In as much as it is fast, I realised too that it is very cheap to operate. The moment you will get it, it will be hard to believe you ever survived without it. On your phone, go to wap.getjar.com to get it, millions have downloaded it. Do not be left out.
P.S. What ?
happened to mobile yahoo? I thought that I was the only one struck. Now all my friends are up in arms. Y!Go is a disaster of its own. Yahoo ought to awaken. The competition is too intense for mistakes
