Until recently, Semantic Web has been realized as the name for the next generation of web infrastructure, but with the evolution of technologies like Xml and RDF and with the development of new languages like the RDF schema and the DAML+OIL, the Semantic Web technique is advancing rapidly. This paper provides a understandable view of the Semantic Web, it identifies the need for the Semantic Web, and it explains the technologies comprising the Semantic Web in detail. A detailed description of a different literature and athe important relationships ith hypermedia are analyzed and summarized. Finally, an organized research plan describes the issues of the development of the Semantic Web from the prospective view of the aspects in hypermedia research.
