I've had MuseScore for quite a long time now and this program helped me create a few small pieces.MuseScore is the free composition program that you can download and begin composing right away. It has many features and things which you can take advantage of.
First off, using MuseScore is really easy. You don't have to be some expert musician with years worth of experience or a truly talented composer at all. Whether you're an amateur, to a wannabe composer to a music student or composer, you can use MuseScore right away and get used to it easily.
There are plenty of features to take advantage of. You can use the dyanmics, articulations and ornaments and more to decorate your music with and define it with a unique sound. The library of instruments is also quite big so if you wanted to arrange a concert band piece, you already have the template and instruments for it. Simply put, you can customize and create your piece based on the options that you want and use those composition tools to make your song.
However, as for the instrumentals, some of the sounds can be quite weird or seem a bit off for that instrument. For example, the drums sound a bit too rough on MuseScore. There are also some minor glitches that may come in but that's not too bad and they rarely occur. They do update the software every now and then and fix those features or improve them so that you can have a much better time using MuseScore.
Overall, MuseScore is a really great program if you want to create musical pieces. It's usable for everyone and you can use it anywhere at any time and overall it's free! MuseScore will always keep improving and you can do a lot with it. I recommend this program to anybody if you're looking for a free composition program.
And if you need any extra help, they have the official site which has an online manual with information and the forums and the support if you need to ask questions or need some help at all. There are even some YouTubevideo tutorials on how to do things if you're interested too.
