EditPadLite is a text editor which very advantageously replaces the
austere and simplistic scratch pad furnished by
Windows. Here are
randomly some of its advantages: *Possibility of opening a number of
files at the same time (arranged by tabs, very practical) *Possibility
of creating file associations (practical when you work on text files
which don't have the extension TXT, such as the files *.ini ou *.cfg
which we find in certain programmes). *Number of cancellations
unlimited, and this, even after having saved the changes (from the
moment the file is open) *Visualization in your Internet navigator
(which hence makes it a basic HTML editor). * Management of line
returns (end of line or end of
screen) *Indentation of lines possible
*Easy conversion to uppercase, lowercase, etc. *Personalization of
interface (colours and font). You can hence decide to write in white on
a black background *Possibility of defining a font type different from
the screen font. *Reopen recent files easily. *Advanced search/replace
functions (search an entire word, case-sensitive or not, etc.) And of
course, this programme is freeware, hence free (even if there exists a
paid Pro version which contains still many other functions, notably
colour management for codes.) To try urgently if you have had enough of
Notepad!
