Amir Khan faces his biggest test yet. The former Olympic Silver Medallist faces Belarussian Vitaly Martynov, 21 over six rounds in Nottingham. Khan has fought brilliantly in his five previous contests. However, he has been criticised by Boxing great Barry McGuigan over his open defence. Nevertheless, Khan one of Britain’s biggest Boxing hopes does not intend to change his style. In a recent interview with a Sunday tabloid newspaper Khan said: "Barry's boxed as a pro and been through the ranks himself. But I've seen Barry's fights and his hands were lower than mine - and he used to get hit more than me, as well."
Khan's latest lightweight contest will be shown on live ITV4, Saturday 28th January 2005 on the under card of Michael Jennings defence of his British Welterweight title.
