www.wrc.com - Get WRC Splits LIVE

Website Review by: Jesper

On www.wrc.com you can find all the news for World
Rally Championship.
If you sign up for a membership, you
can watch video
clips and interviews from the various rallies. And the best of it all is access
to the rally radio. They are broadcasting live from all rallies, regardless of
where in the world. They have some fun interviews with the drivers from the
service park and competitions, where you can win mostly Subaru gear. They also
have a reporter live on the spot interviewing the drivers as they come in at
the end of the stages. My favourite is
the table with all the split times. They are being broadcasted live so you can
see the splits from all drivers, so you will know right away if someone gets
stuck on a stage. You get that with the membership and then you can see what
the weird people on the radio are talking about. Oh, and they also play a lot
of music and you can email the radio with comments and music requests.
For non-paying visitors there is a Result-area on the
site. There you can see the splits after the stage has been completed and you
can still follow the times at each rallies as the stage-time board is updated
regularly, but you are only able to see the final times when they are finished.
The £40 you pay for the 1-year membership is worth the
extras if you are a rally-fan and if you have time in the weekends listening to
the radio, the £40 are worth it. But if you do not have time for listening to
the live radio, the £40 may seem a bit expensive, depending on what you think
about the video clips.
The only negative thing to say about it is that you
are not able to download any of the video clips as far as I know. And the
on-boards are not from a full stage. So
unless you have time for listening to the radio/watch the live-splits, I guess
a full membership isn't really worth it. On the other hand, if you do have time
for listening to the radio, I think it is very much worth it!
